Geoffrey Albers – Non Executive Chairman
Mr Albers was appointed to the board of Peako on 4 February 2013. Mr Albers has over 35 years experience as a director and administrator in corporate law, petroleum exploration and resource sector investment. He is a law graduate of the University of Melbourne and, after being admitted in 1969 as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria, held a corporate practicing certificate in Victoria until 2001.
Mr Albers became involved in oil exploration in 1977 and has a track record of developing significant oil and gas assets. The Yolla Gas/Condensate Field in Bass Strait, which is now being produced by Origin Energy Limited and others was discovered as a direct result of exploration activities undertaken by companies associated with Mr Albers. Cue Energy Resources Limited, now a significant exploration and production company, and Southern Petroleum N.L. in New Zealand, now a substantial production subsidiary of Shell New Zealand, were both formed by Mr Albers in the early 1980s. Natural Gas Australia Ltd was formed by Mr Albers in 2000 and subsequently successfully merged into Santos Limited.
Mr Albers also founded ASX listed Octanex NL, MEO Australia Limited (formerly Timor Sea Petroleum NL), Bass Strait Oil Company Limited and Moby Oil & Gas Limited. Mr Albers has interests in a number of unlisted public and private companies active in exploration for oil and gas in Australian offshore waters. He is a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia. Mr Albers is presently a director of ASX listed entities; Octanex NL and Moby Oil & Gas Limited.
Rae Clark CA, AGIA, ACIS
Director and Company Secretary
Mrs Clark has more than fifteen years experience focussed primarily on the upstream oil and gas sector. Her experience includes business development, financial modelling and analysis, capital raising and mergers and acquisitions, as well as managing joint venture partners, government, regulator and investor relations.
Mrs Clark has been Company Secretary of Peako since 4 February 2013 and was appointed to the Board on 4 December 2014. Mrs Clark is also a Director of Octanex NL (ASX: OXX). Having commenced her career with Deloitte Mrs Clark has previously held roles at Triangle Energy (Global) Limited (ASX:TEG), Biogen Limited and the Mandolin Group. She holds a Bachelor of Business (with distinction), a Graduate Diploma (ICAA) and Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and Governance Institute of Australia.
Peter Armitage FCA FAICD
Peter Armitage began his professional career over 40 years ago with an international accounting firm, specialising in start-ups and work-outs. After qualification he was invited into partnership of a national firm that he maintained until he set up his own practice in 1978, of which he remains principal.
Since the early 1980s he has been a director of a number of listed exploration companies in both Australia and New Zealand concentrating on fiscal aspects of project modelling and procurement of capital. Recently he has been responsible for a number of successful IPOs supervising Due Diligence and Corporate Governance matters as well as attending to all compliance matters.
Mr. Armitage has also been involved in various consulting assignments in Peoples Republic of China, Canada, USA, Hong Kong and UK for Fortune 500 companies. He is currently a Non-Executive director of ASX listed Strategic Energy Limited, as well as Director of Ionic Industries Limited.
